Spring in Michigan is wildly unpredictable. There are times when it is safe to be wearing a t-shirt and other times where if you don’t put your boots on before stepping outside you’ll end up with a shoe full of snow. On this second day of Spring, as the sun stayed out just a little longer than the day before, Ana and Peter exchanged handwritten vows and rings in an intimate wedding celebration with their closest family right at home.
After a short moving ceremony by the judge and a champagne toast (complete with strawberries) a family dinner at the Saginaw Country Club commenced with stories told around the table. Recollections of days gone by and hopes for the future brimmed to overflowing as a new bride gazed with pure joy at her new groom and the groom for his part cherished his bride.
This evening proved a beautiful reminder of how incredible it is that a wedding not only joins a bride and groom, but joins whole families together.
